Medical Equipment Repair Technician

Pay Scale - $25 - $35 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Installs CT and MRI equipment at the company facility and customer sites.
  • Repairs CT and MRI equipment and NIS facility and customer sites.
  • Responsible for performance testing and final quality assurance of equipment.
  • Repairs and tests parts.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
  • Assists in emergency service at customer sites.
  • Works as part of a team in all phases of the job to optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Documents parts repairs and service work with written service reports with quality that can be given to a customer to read.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Travel:

This position requires both planned and unplanned travel. Travel can be both day trips and overnight. Most travel is done via automobile but the candidate must be able to travel via airplane as well. On average the overnight travel will be 5-nights per month. The candidate must have a reliable vehicle that they can use for short trips and must be able to drive the company vehicles for longer trips. All personal vehicle mileage accrued during travel is to be reimbursed by the company.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, internet software, and contact management systems.

Education/Experience:

The candidate should have an associate's degree with relevance to a technical position; and at least two years related experience and/or training in electronics and with using test equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license

  • Power tools
  • Test equipment such as oscilloscope

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

  • Hands on electrical and mechanical competency
  • Aptitude to combine their knowledge of electronics with Network Imaging Systems product training to understand the product line
